Currently, 78% of Quebecers use their cars to get to work, even though a third of them live fewer than 5 kilometres from where they work. In this type of situation, the Electrically Assisted Bike (EAB) represents a real opportunity to change the way people get around.
The goal of the Vélovolt campaign is to demonstrate that trips normally made by car can be made by EAB. With this in mind, Équiterre has, since 2021, been organizing EAB trials in co-operation with a number of Quebec organizations in order to better understand the potential offered by this mode of transportation.

Jade Lee Kui
Advisor, Sustainable Mobility
Jade holds a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainable Development, with a specialization in biodiversity management.
As part of her studies, she completed an internship in transportation electrification with Équiterre in the winter of 2021-2022. Wanting to continue working to make our mobility more sustainable in order to decarbonize one of the most polluting sectors, and thus fight climate change, Jade joined Équiterre on a permanent basis in February 2023.
As part of the Mobility team, Jade contributes to raising public awareness of sustainable mobility, and electric mobility in particular, at various events.
